Graduation Project, Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam. Installation with moving image, hand made lens and sculpture,

Daily meditation and wellbeing booths banish anxiety and distraction from life – or so modern corporations and mindfulness apps promise. I know such a pursuit isn’t that simple, drawn to self-actualisation since childhood – inspired by Circadian Sessions in the forest of my holistic, Buddhist school and its mystifying retreats. Lately, this philosophy feels broken. With deep personal impulses, silenced in search of elevated productivity. This project uses made or found, circular lenses, focuses and fogs alongside interplays of contours – to reassemble lost individual awareness in an indifferent scape.
